About

I love hockey. I love Canada. And I really love Canadian hockey! It’s been part of life from the time I could skate and listen to Foster Hewitt on the transistor radio with my dad. And that’s what this blog is all about…lively discussion, frank comments, polarizing opinions…all things hockey-related.

If something is worth commenting on from the minors, juniors, or international arena then let’s have at it. But mostly, my focus will be:

  • NHL and NHLPA
  • Canadian teams, Canadian players, Canadian issues
  • Original Six Teams
  • but nothing is off-limits…as long as it’s done within the boundaries of mutual respect…a term that will surely be a moving target as the season progresses.

I am 46 years old and living in Halifax, Nova Scotia but I’ve spent most of my life in Toronto. Not surprising, I have had a 40+ year love-hate relationship with the Leafs. Mostly love but lately hate. So expect a good share of Leafs comments – good and bad.

This is my first blog of any type and I am hoping to use it sharpen my eye for the game, engage fellow hockey fans, spark some heated discussions, and make this hockey season even more interesting.
